ज़िज़िफस न्यूम्यूलारिया (Ziziphus nummularia), जिसे सामान्यतः झाड़बेरी, जंगली बेर, चनबोर अथवा Roundleaf Jujube कहा जाता है, रैम्नेसी (Rhamnaceae) कुल की एक अत्यधिक शाखायुक्त, काँटेदार एवं सदाबहार से अर्ध-पर्णपाती झाड़ी है। यह भारत के शुष्क एवं अर्ध-शुष्क क्षेत्रों, विशेषकर राजस्थान, गुजरात, पंजाब तथा हरियाणा में व्यापक रूप से पाई जाती है। इसका प्राकृतिक वितरण पूर्वी भूमध्यसागरीय क्षेत्र से लेकर अरब प्रायद्वीप एवं भारत तक फैला हुआ है।
राजस्थान में झाड़बेरी मरुस्थलीय पारिस्थितिकी का एक अत्यंत महत्त्वपूर्ण पौधा है। इसकी पत्तियाँ ऊँट, बकरी एवं अन्य पशुओं के लिए उत्तम चारा हैं, जबकि इसकी घनी काँटेदार झाड़ियाँ प्राकृतिक बाड़ (Live Fence), मृदा संरक्षण तथा वन्यजीवों को आश्रय प्रदान करने में सहायक होती हैं।
Spinous, stunted shrubs: branches zig-zag Leaves small, sub-orbicular, rounded at apex, whitish tomentose beneath. Inflo. in axillary cymes; Flowers with calyx hairy, petals rounded, longer than sepals, 5 stamens, filaments deflexed. Disk 10-lobed with a pit opposite each lobe. Ovary 2-celled, styles 2, united. styles 2- fid; Fruits drupe globose, red when ripe.

The native range of this species is E. Medit. to India, Arabian Peninsula. It is a shrub or tree and grows primarily in the desert or dry shrubland or scrub forest.
