Description:
Spathodea campanulata is an upright, evergreen or deciduous tree( height about 5-30 meters) with a buttressed trunk and a dense, spreading crown of branches, leaves- Opposite, Uni pinnate(imparipinnate), leaflets ovate to elliptic, Flower- bisexual, large, tulip- or bell-shaped, having bright reddish to orange or scarlet corollas and crinkled yellow margins. Fruit- Erect, boat-shaped or lanceolate seed pods. seed- winged.
