  • Gmelina arborea, commonly known as Gamhar or White Teak, is a fast-growing deciduous tree belonging to the Lamiaceae family. It is widely valued for its timber, medicinal properties, and ecological benefits.
    Gmelina arborea is a medium to large, fast-growing deciduous tree, usually growing 12–30 m tall. It is easily recognized by its grey to pale brown bark, broad heart-shaped to ovate leaves, and bright yellow flowers with orange-brown markings arranged in terminal clusters. The fruits are smooth, oval drupes, turning green to yellow when ripe.
