It is endemic to Rajasthan. It is a rare, but widely exploited multipurpose tree of the Indian desert. It has typical flower heads.
A medium to large tree,
young branches and leaves rusty-silky pubescent or subto-mentose; Leaves apex obtuse or obcordate, mucronulate or apiculate, silvery pubescent; nerves 4-5, arcute; petioles 1-2 mm long; Flowers in axillary and terminal heads, solitary or rarely branched, 3-4 mm long, rather thick; Calyx tube 3-4 mm long, wing dilated, yellow, pube-scent, limb 5-dentate, 2-2.5 mm in diameter; Fruits glabrous, wings cordate at the base.
