  • (1)Suaeda fruticosa is a perennial shrub with an erect glabrous stem, usually about 3 m tall, with fleshy and subsessile oblong or elliptic leaves and black seeds (Joshi et al.,2023).
    (2)The seeds contain a high-quality edible oil that is abundant in unsaturated fatty acids (Weber et al., 2007).
    (3) Potential uses in phytoremediation : The plant can be utilized to reduce soil salinity and to remediate hazardous metal-contaminated soils. (Hameed et al., 2012).
    (4)The plants' high salt content will most likely limit their usage as stand-alone fodder crops (Ahmad and Malik, 2013).
