  • silver oak( despite its common name it is not a true oak) is a fast-growing evergreen tree with a single main trunk, growing up to 100 feet tall. Its leaves are fern-like which are green delicately dented bipinnatifid, which are generally 10-30 cm long with silvery underside, The inflorescence arranged in one-side, toothbrush-like groups of golden-orange or sometimes light pink flowers, carpels are stalked, flowering accurs from march to april followed by glabrous follicles.
